Blickfeld’s LiDAR sensor technology is being applied for research in various use cases with the goal of evaluating autonomous functions for enhanced efficiency in agricultural machinery and equipment
Patrick Pylypuik joined the Blickfeld management team as Head of Sales North America in June. In this chat, he tells us what fascinates him about Blickfeld, what his plans for the US market look like, and he shares one of his most valuable learnings from the past years.
Blickfeld’s Cube sensors are now eligible of carrying the Korea Certification (KC) mark, verifying the product’s compliance with the requirements of the industry standards for electromagnetic compatibility in South Korea.
At POWTECH 2022, Blickfeld will showcase a solution for measuring the volume of bulk material, in real time – making the asset management process more efficient and enabling companies to digitally record their inventory.
Blickfeld’s 3D LiDAR solutions measure the precise distance and size of intruding objects and people for perimeter security systems. The associated detection software “Percept” allows for reliable alarm triggers, distinguishing between people and smaller objects, meaning false alarms caused by small animals for instance, can be effectively avoided. Meeting the highest security requirements, Blickfeld’s solutions are ideally suited for critical infrastructure uses.
Percept software version 1.6 adds a new reset value feature to the volume measurement zone and further improves general performance and stability requirements, including an improved user interface for managing large project setups.
Blickfeld, the breakthrough LiDAR sensor technology company creating innovative hardware and software products, will be expanding its operations into the US.
To support Blickfeld’s operations on the ground in the US, the company will open a new office in the Detroit area, to establish its strategic North American location. Blickfeld plans to hire 25 more people by the end of 2023.
As part of the IN2Lab research project, Blickfeld is working with project partners such as Audi, Continental, the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI and the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences to develop a system that provides automated and autonomous driving with environmental information collected from the infrastructure for additional safety.
Our Percept software version 1.3 empowers users to continuously measure bulk volumes enabling e.g. just-in-time stockpile management. Additional features include the creation of multiple zones with the same setting and auto-alignment of the sensor’s point cloud to the virtual ground.
Blickfeld has been chosen as one of the most promising German tech start-ups by the global analyst platform “Tracxn” and was included in their „Soonicorn Club 2022“.
