Your mission

Not only our MEMS mirrors are a core component for our innovative LiDAR sensor; our software also plays a key role in the success of our product. As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) of the Object Recognition team at Blickfeld, you will be responsible regarding all steps of LiDAR software solution development using modern tools like GitLab, Docker, Micro-Services, etc. You will work closely with the team to address complex software architecture topics, good and extendable API design with the focus on Protobuf and gRPC services. You will work on test driven development and are responsible for writing a variety of tests. You want to be part of a forward-thinking Start-up and enrich our company culture? Your tasks

⟋ You are involved in all steps of LiDAR software solution development: this includes software architecture, API design, implementation and of course deployment of our software solution
⟋
You are responsible for testing and maintenance of our software
⟋
Together with the rest of the Object Recognition team, you integrate algorithms and Point Cloud data into our useful applications for clients, that focuses on modern design and easy to use interfaces

You are involved in the development of the internal framework for Point Cloud Processing algorithms (if interested)
⟋
You ensure that our software products are developed and deployed with the highest standards, recognize shortcomings and security risks and mentor your teammates through code reviews
⟋

Your profile

⟋ You have a degree in computer science or equivalent
⟋
You have 1-2 years’ full-time industry experience in software engineering
⟋
You have at least 3 years’ experience in programming (C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
⟋
Ideally you have experience with microservice architecture and have some experience with ROS2
⟋
You have experience with backend development and are comfortable with Python, gRPC, Protobuf
⟋
You are comfortable working with Linux, git, dockers and are capable of development in a multi-member team
⟋
You have experience or interest in working with Computer Vision, 3D data and point cloud processing
⟋
You are open to giving and receiving feedback
⟋
You have good communication skills in English (oral, written)
