After a long break, Blickfeld had five international trade fair participations scheduled for the early summer of 2022. Not only the team was highly motivated to finally make and maintain personal contacts again, but also the visitors at the Blickfeld booth once again came from all over the world to learn more about the company and the LiDAR technology. The main attraction was a live demo where the sensors could be experienced in action.
Pioneering mobility solutions at MOVE in London
At MOVE in London everything was about mobility and future-oriented developments in this field. Blickfeld was able to shine with its exceptionally small LiDAR sensors, which are used in particular in the field of autonomous driving and enable an improvement in the performance and reliability of ADAS and AD systems through high-resolution 3D information. Grégory Poillion, Blickfeld’s VP Automotive Sales & Business Development, explained the benefits of the technology in a video interview with Auto Futures directly at the Blickfeld booth.
Process optimization for airports at Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris
At the same time, Blickfeld also exhibited at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris. The compact and maintenance-free sensors generated particular enthusiasm among international airport operators: Blickfeld was able to showcase the impressive example from Frankfurt Airport at its booth, where Cube 1 sensors were in use to record passenger flows anonymously and predict passenger traffic.
Autonomous driving in focus at the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in Stuttgart
Next on the agenda was the ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo in Stuttgart. There, the focus was on the latest technologies that enable autonomous and ADAS applications. In addition to the live demo, Blickfeld also showed its design concept for autonomous vehicles, in which the small and lightweight LiDAR sensors are seamlessly integrated.
Awarded at the Sensors Converge in San Jose
But this was not the end of the trade show season for the first half of the year. The highlight followed at the end of June: Blickfeld was awarded the Best of Sensors Award in the category “Startup of the year” at Sensors Converge in San Jose, California. Previously, Blickfeld had already won the 2021 Award in the “MEMS” category.
Home game at SecurityExpo in Munich
The trade show season ended with a home game in Munich. At the SecurityExpo Blickfeld presented which application areas the sensors cover in the security sector. The low false alarm rate and the light-agnostic solution are just two of the characteristics that make the Blickfeld Cube ideal for use cases like hazard detection or object tracking.
Blickfeld looks back on a successful trade fair season with exciting discussions and interesting industry insights, thanks all visitors and looks forward to the second half of the event year in autumn!
