QbVolume has been specifically developed for applications in raw material management, production, and logistics. Building on extensive experience from numerous customer projects, in which Blickfeld sensors have already been successfully used for volume monitoring, the company has now developed QbVolume – a product that combines hardware with software specifically designed for volume applications, and an intuitive data visualization dashboard in one compact sensor.
Thanks to Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and optional WiFi connectivity, the system can be easily installed and flexibly integrated into existing infrastructures. A comprehensive range of accessories – such as mounting brackets, cables, and weather protection covers – ensures quick and straightforward installation.

The integrated Blickfeld software has been specifically developed and refined for volume measurement and monitoring. It translates the 3D LiDAR data captured by the sensor directly on the device into accurate and reliable volume values. Virtual, freely configurable measurement zones allow adaptation to individual use cases. The software also takes into account material shapes as well as storage angles and conditions – for example, in conical or cuboid zones.
Through the fusion of multiple LiDAR sensors, even large storage areas or complex measurement environments can be covered. An integrated dashboard provides clear visualization of all data and enables immediate analysis.
