Blickfeld continues to strengthen its international presence: The entire Qb product portfolio — including Qb2, QbProtect, QbVolume, and QbBasic — is now available in compliance with the requirements of the Trade Agreements Act (TAA). TAA-compliant products have already been successfully delivered and installed for several U.S. customers.
TAA compliance is a legal requirement for products procured by U.S. government agencies and certain public sector entities. It ensures that products are either manufactured or substantially transformed in the United States or in one of the U.S. government’s designated partner countries.
“With the TAA compliance of our Qb product family, we’re responding to the strong demand from U.S. authorities and public institutions for innovative sensor solutions — for example, in security and volume monitoring applications,” says Blickfeld CEO Mathias Müller. “At the same time, we’re reinforcing Blickfeld’s international competitiveness and demonstrating that our products meet the highest regulatory standards.”
The Qb product family includes Qb2, a flexible sensor for a wide range of industrial applications; QbProtect, designed for security applications in environments such as airports, energy companies, banks, and more; QbVolume, which enables precise volume monitoring in manufacturing and logistics environments; and QbBasic, a streamlined LiDAR designed for OEMs and solution builders who want to build their own applications on top of reliable 3D data. All sensors feature robust, compact hardware and high-precision 3D data capture in all lighting and weather conditions. Depending on the model, they also include powerful on-device perception software that transforms raw sensor data into actionable insights — from volume calculations to security alerts.
