Blickfeld Showcases LiDAR-Based Traffic Management at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026

Blickfeld, a specialist in high-precision 3D LiDAR sensors and perception software, will exhibit at Intertraffic Amsterdam (March 10–13, 2026, RAI Amsterdam) to present LiDAR-based solutions for intelligent traffic and infrastructure management.

Modern traffic control and infrastructure monitoring face the challenge of capturing traffic data with high accuracy and in real time while maintaining data privacy. Blickfeld addresses these requirements with its LiDAR technology, which uses laser pulses to measure distances and generates a three-dimensional representation of the environment. The resulting data provides information on vehicle and object positions, dimensions, movements, and speeds, all without collecting personal data.

With the help of specialized traffic perception software, traffic flows can be monitored, vehicle classes distinguished, and incidents such as congestion, red-light violations, or wrong-way driving reliably detected. LiDAR thus represents a modern alternative to conventional technologies such as induction loops, as it requires neither modifications to road infrastructure nor complex installation or regular maintenance. Blickfeld sensors are robust, easily integrated into existing systems, and suitable for use on highways as well as in urban smart-city concepts or parking management.

“LiDAR is emerging as a key technology for data-driven traffic management,” said Dirk Rathsack, VP Sales and Business Development at Blickfeld. “At Intertraffic, we will demonstrate how our solutions can optimize traffic flows, improve road safety, and relieve critical traffic nodes.”

Industry visitors are invited to visit the Blickfeld booth (Hall 2, Booth 134) to gain in-depth insights into real-world applications and integration options.
