With our Blickfeld LiDAR we develop eyes to see the world in an innovative kind of way. One supporting pillar for this revolutionary development is our electronics department. As Electronics Development Engineer (m/f/d) you will work in close contact with all our other Blickfeld engineers: To find new solutions and creative answers for cross-functional challenges. Help creating the latest technology by designing complex and cutting-edge mixed signal circuits, e.g., high-speed electronics for single photon detection, generation of high power nano second laser pulses and miniaturization of the MEMS mirror control electronics. Our world-class LiDAR systems, especially the so-called beam deflection unit, are based on advanced MEMS technology. As Test Engineer (m/f/d) you will develop automated test stands that can be deployed in-house and with our external partners as final test criteria. As such, you are at the heart of complying with the highest quality requirements. You are supported and will be closely working with colleagues in the MEMS, optics, electronics and software teams, to ensure the success of our LiDAR product.

Dazu ist einiges an Kreativität gefragt: Du findest stets neue Wege, die Ansteuerung unserer mikromechanischen Spiegel zu optimieren.
If there is one word to describe why our LiDAR technology is superior to all other LiDARs out there, it would be “MEMS”. MEMS is the heart of our powerful LiDAR beam-scanning unit, which deflects the laser beam to obtain the desired broad field of view. As Senior MEMS Development Engineer (m/f/d), you are part of our MEMS Team and take care of the development according to requirements regarding robustness and performance. The major challenge here is to never lose the focus on the mass producibility by external partners. With you and your expertise, we will master the great challenge to mass-produce high resolution and affordable LiDAR sensors and thus pave the way towards autonomous driving!

Everybody agrees that LiDAR is an enabler for autonomous driving and there is a huge market out there. We do too! However, we strongly believe that there is much more out there for which LiDAR can be a huge benefit: Robotics, different IoT applications, smart cities, precision farming, perimeter security to just mention a few. These markets may not be so obvious at first sight, there are even more interesting at second sight. Even many customers in these areas do not know yet that they need a LiDAR, since in the past they have been too bulky and too expensive. You will change that! As our business development manager, you will convince our future customers from the benefits of our superior LiDAR technology. In 2019, our first commercial product will be available for sale, so you can convince our customers by showcasing a great product and not just pretty PowerPoint slides. The stage is yours!
