Building complex products like Blickfeld LiDAR sensors requires a variety of production and testing processes. All these steps call for individual and flexible software solutions. As a Software Engineer (m/f/d) you will be part of this team and meet our daily challenge: Deliver excellent production and tracking software for an excellent product. ⟋ You design and develop PC applications meant for our internal and external production lines, including GUI development, the integration of different hardware components (robots, cameras, sensors, etc.), CV, and point cloud processing
⟋ You collaborate with other teams you collect and evaluate crucial measurement and assembly parameters required for a complete product lifecycle tracking
⟋ You are responsible for the correct data modelling
⟋ You maintain and extend our Django database backend
⟋ You contribute to and extend company-wide libraries and our tool-landscape to be prepared for the next Blickfeld products and requirements from different production teams
⟋ You ensure a proper production process and give support to internal staff and partner companies
⟋ You support other colleagues with general programming issues, the application of our specific testing and validation libraries, and our Blickfeld-Scanner-Library.
⟋ You have a Master’s degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in software development
⟋ You have 1-2 years full-time experience in software development. Ambitious newcomers are welcome depending on knowledge and practical experience
⟋ You have experience with Python and GUI development as well as multi-threading applications, 3rd party library integration, deployment tools and common IDEs
⟋ You have knowledge of versioning systems (Git) and know the challenges of collaboration in an agile software team
⟋ Your knowledge on PySide (or PyQt), OpenCV, Django, Django REST API, relational databases is impressive
⟋ You are interested in a deep understanding of the challenging production of such a complex LiDAR systems
⟋ Your knowledge on computer vision in general or point cloud processing in particular is a benefit
⟋ You are a communicative team-player with good English communication skills in speaking and writing
