Your mission

As our Computer Vision / Point Cloud Software Engineer (m/f/d), you are part of one of our main teams: You ensure that our customers are not overwhelmed by the sheer volume of data from our powerful LiDAR sensor, but get “bite-sized bites”. Together with the whole Object Recognition team, you develop algorithms and integrate Point Cloud data in useful applications for clients. Blickfeld is a provider of cutting-edge LiDAR technology for autonomous mobility and IoT applications. Your tasks

  • You are involved in all steps of LiDAR data processing: this includes analysing, design, implementation and testing of state of the art point cloud processing algorithms
  • You are involved in the development of the internal framework for point cloud processing with focus on geometrical/classical approaches
  • You implement innovative concepts for signal processing and object recognition
  • You develop pragmatic solutions for clients

Your profile

  • You have a degree in computer science or equivalent
  • You have 1-2 years’ full-time industry experience in object recognition, signal processing and point cloud processing
  • You have at least 3 years’ experience in C++11/14 programming, and software engineering
  • You have experience in working with 3D data and point clouds (Point Cloud Library (PCL) and ROS2)
  • You are comfortable working with Linux and git and are capable of development in a multi-member team
  • You are open to giving and receiving feedback
  • You have good communication skills in English (oral, written)
