Your mission

In order to implement our LiDAR technology in reality and to ensure consistently high quality and standards, well thought-out and precisely defined components are required from the very beginning. Through you, the ideas and planning of our LiDAR technology take shape. As a CAD Engineer (m/f/d) at Blickfeld, you will not only support our optics, electronics and MEMS team, but also accompany the development process of our products from the concept phase to series production. You really want to dig into even the smallest components and at the same time never lose sight of the big picture. Your tasks

⟋ You develop and design opto-mechanical components for new and existing products (Autodesk Inventor).
⟋ You analyze and specify opto-mechanical systems
⟋ You develop and produce manufacturing drawings according to applicable standards in collaboration with suppliers and tooling manufacturers
⟋ You will assist in the manufacturing of new products in the pilot phase  
⟋ You interface with suppliers regarding component selection

Your profile

⟋ You hold a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, or an apprenticeship as a state-certified technician with a focus on design or precision engineering
⟋ You have several years of experience with 3D CAD systems (ideally with Autodesk Inventor)
⟋ You bring extensive professional experience in the development and design of optical and mechanical components
⟋ You have expertise in the area of form and position tolerances (GD&T = Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
⟋ Your experience in the area of tool-appropriate design, such as die casting or injection molding, is impressive
⟋ You like to work in a team and have a hands-on approach 
⟋ You have a very good command of English and a good command of German (spoken and written)
