We develop and produce breakthrough LiDAR sensors for a wide range of applications in automotive, robotics, smart infrastructure, people counting and many more. If you’re interested in optical sensors, you’ve come to the right place.
As part of the current development and improvement of our product Cube 1, we are investigating and validating one of the core components, a special optical lens which combines multiple optical functional surfaces in one component. With a complex measurement system, this lens can be precisely analyzed and characterized.
In this work we offer you the opportunity to get a deep insight into the functionality of a modern 3D LiDAR sensor and to validate the most important component yourself! The goal is to independently optimize a test bench. This includes the improvement of the software (GUI, stage, camera algorithms) as well as the hardware (mechanical setup, sensor technology, automation). The goal is to accurately measure all characteristics of the lens with the test bench and finally compare all results against own optical simulations and external measurements.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer compensation for work on these thesis.
